What is a Natural Non-Stick Wok?
We preseasoned our woks to save you the work and time to season a wok. We call it natural because the carbon steel is in its "natural" state. We did not add any non-stick coatings to the wok. Before cooking, just heat wok first then add the cooking oil. You will get very little sticking when you cook.
Why is the preseasoned wok a blue color?
Our manufacturer uses a special high heat process to season the carbon steel wok. The high heat creates a temporary blue oxidation film. The blue will fade away from continued cooking. You will then get your own brown/black seasoned finish. This is another reason why we call it a natural non-stick wok.
What utensils can I use on the woks?
Any cooking utensils can be used on our woks - bamboo, wood, metal, ...
What is your company doing to become "greener"?
We reuse clean styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap, air pillows and shipping cartons from other local businesses as much as possible. Depending on the type of packing material required, we also reuse corn starch-based peanuts which are biodegradable. We try to use brown cardboard shipping cartons instead of the white bleached cardboard.
